MCP23017-E/SO Product Description

         1.MCP23017-E/SO has I2C interface.

         2.MCP23017-E/SO contains multiple 8-bit configuration registers for input, output and polarity selection.

         3. The system host can enable I/O as input or output by writing the I/O configuration bit (IODIRA/B).

         4. The data of each input or output is saved in the corresponding input or output register.

         5. The polarity of the input port register can be inverted through the polarity inversion register.

         6. The system host can read all registers.

         7. The 16-bit I/O port functionally consists of two 8-bit ports (PORTA and PORTB).
